Bear     painting

Inspiration for this design came from my mom and my name, Waya, which means "wolf" in Cherokee. As depicted elsewhere in my work, I used Native American symbols to construct my design. I used the bear, which symbolizes strength, as the main figure; and other symbols such as the sun which symbolizes hope and the moon which is the protector of the earth.
